Modern and Traditional China

First attempt at designing buildings for modern and traditional china combining both designs from different cultures together to create new fresh designs and use some of the old designs and tweak them a bit and add modern or traditional features to them.

Wales Mountains and 3rd World Houses

More designs looking at different third world countries and the different styles of houses they live in that i can apply into my environment scattered around wales mountains.

Environment Change Modern and Traditional China

After trying out a few designs with traditional China and Japanese culture I had realised that where was not much difference between both and that it would be better to try out  modern china and traditional china as this would give me the opportunity to show how china has developed through the years and how china can look with traditional and modern mixed together.

Wales Mountain Structure and 3rd World Houses

More development work for 3rd World Wales laying out the environment to possibly how I could look with a few buildings designs and how they might be spread across the mountain and what section of the map it will consist in.

Venice and Chicago

More concepts for Venice and Chicago environment keeping in tradition with first designs with coming aspects of both cultures but also sing traditional building mixed with my original designs.

Etching Test 2

Another attempt at etching this time trying out some Chinese patterns. Pattern was a good attempt but did not really work as I taught it would have for texture for my buildings walls or fabric pattern inside the building.

Etching Test

Etching tests creating in print lesson as a test to see what they will look like if I etched my whole map like this that could be placed in the environment to see where u are.

Above is metal sheet that i had to draw my design onto with a nail that would then be printed onto paper such as test below with black and white color variations.

Venice and Chicago

More sketches for Venice and Chicago buildings trying to keep aspects of both cultures into one design by having the tall buildings from Chicago and keeping the architecture aspects from Venice buildings such as the details brick patterns at window designs.

FMP Concept

Combing different cultures together was to show the aesthetics of all these cultures to see what it could have looked like they were combined together as one showing how different they could have been then as they are now.

Also gave me the idea of showing how global arming can effect us in the future showing my interpretation what will happen in the future is nothing is done to stop global warming.

Wales Mountain Structure and 3rd World Houses

My third environment was wales and 3rd world countries my concept behind this was to combines the opposites together by combining the beauty of wales with 3rd world scenery fused together to show how everything will look together as single environment instead of two.

Chinese and Japanese Development

After changing my narrative and direction of my original idea but keeping the same concept I began sketching a few building designs and layouts for my Chinese and Japanese cultures environment looking how these two different cultures can create a unique environment.
As you can see below there was not much difference between these two cultures and really did not look that different and my experiment did not work and i will have to fins a alternative for this section of my map.

Shanty House 3D development

Added textures to model to give more of a realistic feel and look to the model still needs a little work done to it before importing into engine for my level, over all i think it looks good but will need to create different variations as having this same model duplicated around the whole map will not look end as a end result.

CULTURES RESEARCH MOODBAORDS

I created moldboards showing the difference between all the cultures and to give me a idea of what each culture has in similarity and what are the difference so that I can get the best development possible.

I did this to help me develop ideas seeing the cultures and buildings and structures of mountains together to help develop my environment by looking at these different cultures and seeing how I can combine them together to get my message  across.
